Our flights from Southern California to Wilmington North Carolina were bumpy and the turbulence sure did make for an interesting travel day. Storms had grounded several flights on the east coast. The wedding day came and while it was an over casted humid day but we didn’t feel a drop of rain all day! Nick and Emily’s Wilmington, NC wedding was a special day. They were surrounded by their closest family, friends and fellow Marines.
Emily and Nick incorporated several special elements that truly made their wedding day unique. Emily wore a traditional Thai wedding gown that her mom brought from Thailand! All of her accessory pieces were also brought from Thailand specifically for Emily to wear on her wedding day. The decorations all had some sort of meaning as well. Emily and Nick met when they were both stationed at Camp Pendleton with MALS 39. Their sweetheart table included a bottle with the MALS 39 logo on it, where their story began.
I met Emily almost 6 years ago when David was stationed in North Carolina. She is one of the most genuine and sweetest person I know and seeing how happy Nick makes her and the incredible person that he is makes me so happy for her. It’s no wonder that Emily and Nick are both such loving and humble people, their families were incredibly loving to myself and David while having never met us. Their family and friends showered them with so much love and joy on their wedding day this past Sunday.
Nick and Emily, thank you SO much for including David and I in your special day. We absolutely loved every minute of it and are so blessed to have friends like you guys!
